Man robs Lincoln restaurant at gunpoint

A robber hits up a local restaurant, telling the clerk he's robbing the place for his kids.

It happened 10 Tuesday night at Subway near 70th and Pioneers.

Police say the suspect walked into the restaurant, showed and gun, and demanded money.

Officers say as the employee was handing over the money, the suspect said, "I need to feed my kids.  Tell police it was for the kids."

The suspect is described as a male with tan skin and dark facial hair, around 5'7-5'9 with a skinny, petite build in his mid 20s to 30s.

At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a gray shirt covering his face.
