Police say an observant neighbor helped officers nab two burglars.
It happened Wednesday evening just after 6:30 near 27th and Tipperary Trail.
Police say a neighbor noticed 19–year–old Jared Jones and a 16–year old trying to break into a home and called police. When officers arrived, Jones and the teen were arrested.
Lincoln police say that's when another neighbor said her garage door and back door had been kicked in and things were missing from her home. Police say Jones and the teen had all the missing items from the home. Jones was taken to jail for burglary and the 16–year–old was taken to the Youth Detention Center.
