A man is tazered after he assaults an officer overnight.
It happened at 3:30 a.m. Sunday at Cornhusker Place detox. Lincoln Police say Brandin Mothershed's grandmother picked him up from the facility where he had been placed into protective custody. Officials say, once in the parking lot, Mothershed kicked his grandmother's car, causing $2,000 in damages.

Police say when they attempted to dissolve the situation, Mothershed punched an officer multiple times. The officer then used his tazer.

Police say the suspect was taken to a local hospital and was later arrested for assault of an officer, resisting arrest and failure to comply.
