Lincoln police say a woman came home Thursday and found burglars trying to break into her home.

It started at around 11:45 a.m.  Police say a woman arrived home near 67th and Colby in northeast Lincoln.  She told police she saw a male peek around the corner of her house and then he ran off.  She later found damage to her house where someone tried to break in.  Nothing was taken.

About 15 minutes later, police say a home near 69th & Lexington had been broken into.  No one was home there.

"It's kinda serious—these guys are breaking in and taking things... and I don't know what's going to happen," Carl Watts, a neighbor said.

Police say a neighbor saw two teenage boys leaving the second home.  She called police, and officers were able to find them.  A 15-year-old and 16-year-old were arrested and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.  Police say most of the items taken from the second burglary were recovered.
