Plane makes emergency landing in Lincoln

A United flight headed to Los Angeles from New Jersery had to make a stop in Lincoln.

Airport officials say an electrical issue and smoke in the cockpit forced the landing at the Lincoln Airport. The United 757 from Newark to LAX had 220 people on board. Lincoln Fire and Rescue says no one was hurt, and the plane made it safely to the terminal.

Lincoln Airport officials say either another plane will be sent to Lincoln or a mechanical crew will try to repair the plane by later this afternoon.
