Firefighters spent part of their New Year's Eve working a porch fire near 84th & Highway 2.
The call came in shortly after 2:00 Monday afternoon and started in the back of the home just to the southeast of the intersection.
Crews responded to the call of possibly an infant trapped, but when they arrived, everyone was out safely.
"Probably about one minute out, dispatch reported the homeowner got the infant out of the house," Lincoln Fire and Rescue Captain, Bob Watton, said. "They housed it at a neighbors house, fortunately nobody was trapped inside."
Authorities do not yet know a cause, but say damages are around $10,000
The home is still liveable.
