A former UNL student accused of intentionally accessing a protected computer without authorization, plead not guilty in federal court Tuesday afternoon.
Daniel Stratman is accused of illegally accessing the Nebraska Student Information System, which includes records on hundreds of thousands of students, alumni, applicants and employees.
Some of that data held includes social security numbers, grades, housing records and financial information.
If convicted, Stratman faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
No trial date has been set yet.
