The child sex assault trial of a Grand Island man is being moved to Lincoln.

Judge James Livingston granted a request by 27-year-old Abraham Richardson's lawyer, last week. Defense attorney Gerry Piccolo had said pretrial publicity and other factors would make it difficult to seat an impartial jury in Hall County.

Livingston rescheduled the trial to begin April 29 in Lancaster County District Court.

Richardson has pleaded not guilty to three felony charges: sexual assault of a child, kidnapping and first-degree assault.

He's accused of abducting a 4-year-old girl from an apartment in October 2011, and assaulting her.

In August, Richardson was given 20 years in a federal prison for receiving and distributing child pornography
