Police say the 63-year-old victim tried to fight for her purse during the incident Friday.

On Friday afternoon, police say the victim was walking from Panera Bread at SouthPointe Pavilions when a man grabbed her purse.  Police say she struggled with the man to keep it, but he got away.  She ended up with a broken finger.  She chased after him, along with another witness,  but he threw the purse to ground and took off.

Police say he's described as a large white male in his 30's.  Investigators are hoping to hear from more witnesses.   If you have any information about this incident, call Lincoln Police at 402-441-7204 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
