Police say the 63-year-old victim tried to fight for her purse during the incident Friday.
On Friday afternoon, police say the victim was walking from Panera Bread at SouthPointe Pavilions when a man grabbed her purse. Police say she struggled with the man to keep it, but he got away. She ended up with a broken finger. She chased after him, along with another witness, but he threw the purse to ground and took off.
