UPDATE: Semi truck- train accident near Crete

A close call for the driver of a semi near Crete Thursday morning.

The Saline County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash involving a train and tractor trailer on Highway 33 near the Nestle-Purina plant.  The sheriff's office says it happened at around 10:30 a.m.

The sheriff says a Burlington Northern Santa-Fe train was headed westbound in Saline County when it the semi truck crossing the tracks northbound.  There were no reports of injuries.
