Dense fog surrounds the Lincoln area Monday morning. An advisory has been released by the National Weather Service.
Drivers say the fog makes it impossible to see parked cars on the sides of the roads and only about 10 to 15 feet in front of you.
For commuters heading up to the Omaha area, OPPD officials there warn drivers that a power outage in the downtown area may affect the morning drive. Sunday night, officials say more than 2,000 homes did not have power. At last check at 3:30am Monday, about 800 homes still did not have power.
That also means stop lights and side street lights area also not working. OPPD crews have been working on restoring power all night. Omaha police have extra crews monitoring the areas affected.
