Many say there was more snow than they anticipated.

Hopefully, many of you had those shovels ready and those snowblowers serviced.  One Lincoln resident says it was more snow than she expected.

"It's higher than I expected. It's beautiful! I love it!" Starr Forester said.

Like nearly everyone else in Lincoln, her Wednesday morning was spent digging out from about 5 inches of snow.

Shovel in hand, Larry Nelson says his age is starting to catch up with him.

"I don't like the cold. I used to enjoy it, but now with the older bones and arthritis, it gets tougher," Nelson said.

He's busy clearing his neighbor's wheel chair ramp.

"Well, she just moved to the nursing home and she's got a chance of coming home and if she does come home, we want to have the ramp cleaned off for her."

And just down the street, Leonard Meeks just got home from an overnight shift.. Just in time to do a little shoveling..

"More than enough! Actually, too much!" Meeks said.

But he doesn't mind the Nebraska winters.

"I actually enjoy it. I hate the work that comes with it, but play time? Yes. It's always a good thing."

Play time for some meant sledding down the street.. chasing your tail or building an igloo fit for a big imagination.

Almost everyone we talked to said.. Hey.. This winter hasn't been bad.. Our 2 biggest snowfalls so far? about 5 inches both times.. Could be a lot worse.
