Man hospitalized in fire near 27th and Q

A man is in the hospital after a fire in his home near 27th and Q Street.

Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to the call around 8:30 Sunday night.

When they arrived, they found a pile of clothes on fire and a man asleep in the same room.

LFR said the man was taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.

They also believe the home is minimally damaged.
