Event at Towson’s Historic Recher Theatre on February 9 Will Benefit HopeWell Cancer Support
(PRWEB) February 04, 2013
The Concert for Hope, scheduled for February 9 at the Historic Recher Theatre in Towson, is a true Baltimore story about giving back. Two local guys — John Miller and Jim Wolff — both had first-hand experiences with the devastating impact of a cancer diagnosis and recognized that knowledgeable support is essential for people facing this disease. John and Jim have partnered with HopeWell Cancer Support, a local nonprofit that provides free programs and services to Baltimore individuals and families coping with cancer, to produce the seventh annual Concert for Hope.
This year’s concert, which begins at 6:00 p.m. with an open-bar reception, features an enhanced line-up. Local favorites Gypsy Dawgs will lead off the night at 7:00 p.m., followed by a rare local performance by internationally known guitar maker Paul Reed Smith and his band. Cris Jacobs (formerly of The Bridge) & Friends will close the show.
A live auction is also part of the agenda, starting at 9:15 pm and featuring eight themed packages, including:
All proceeds from tickets sold go directly to benefit HopeWell Cancer Support’s programs for individuals and families coping with all kinds of cancer.
