The new Pak gives IT admins the ability to set and enforce configuration settings in the popular disk defrag utility.
(PRWEB) February 07, 2013
Auslogics Disk Defrag is the latest application to be tackled by PolicyPak Software, the leader in desktop management and Group Policy.
The pre-configured Pak for Auslogics Disk Defrag allows IT admins to manage the application with a more predictive experience for users and less calls to the helpdesk. PolicyPak enforces desired settings and also gives admins the ability to lockdown the settings with the ACL Lockdown feature. The ACL Lockdown will “take ownership” of the user’s registry or files involved in the application to prevent them from modifying settings. Screenshots and more information about the Pak’s features can be found on the PolicyPak website.
IT Admins and network administrators who want to try out the PolicyPak software can get a free trial by attending a Group Policy Webinar at the PolicyPak Website, or by calling (800) 883-8002.
“Disk Defragging is one of those routine tasks that is necessary for good PC maintenance and performance, but if something goes wrong, things have the potential of being ‘not so routine.’ Auslogics can be managed by PolicyPak to prevent these issues,” says Jeremy Moskowitz, founder of PolicyPak Software and Microsoft Group Policy MVP.
PolicyPak can deliver settings using Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy, Microsoft SCCM, Dell KACE, or any other management tool.
