Lincoln police say 80 year old Elizabeth Bergstrom died Thursday night from her injuries. Police say early Tuesday morning, Bergstrom was crossing mid block on Vine near 66th when she was hit by a truck. They say she suffered a spinal cord injury and was rushed to the hospital right away. Authorities say for a while, it looked like she might pull through.

"The other driver is 81 years of age and at the time, he was driving a 1994 Dodge Dakota pickup. No citations have been issued," said Officer Katie Flood.

Funeral arrangements are pending for Elizabeth Bergstrom. Police say they continue to investigate the crash. They also say it is now up to the county attorney to decide if charges will be filed.
