The shooting injured a Lincoln man.
Lincoln Police say 17–year old Alontae Ross was arrested for first degree assault, attempted robbery and other charges. 18-year-old Luis Diaz was arrested for attempted robbery and aiding and abetting.
On January 31, police say the suspects broke into an apartment near 18th & Garfield in Lincoln. They say Ross was carrying a gun during the attempted robbery.
Officer Katie Flood says when the 28-year-old victim refused to give the suspects money, Ross shot him in the chest. The victim has, since then, been released from the hospital.
Police say the suspects and the victim were acquainted with each other.
