A Lincoln couple delivering newspapers had an unexpected surprise early this morning.

Police say their van was stolen while they were out delivering papers. Police say they had left it near 58th & Francis in northeast Lincoln.

Moments later, an officer spotted the van on Leighton Avenue and pursued it. Police say the suspects ditched the vehicle and took off on foot. A witness tells police they saw three men running from it.

There are no suspects at this time.
