Channel 8 Eyewitness News Meteorologist Luke Dorris now believes Lincoln will only receive four to six inches of snow.  Dorris said a dry slot formed just to the south of Lincoln limiting how much snow will fall this afternoon and tonight.

To the west of Lincoln, heavy snow is falling in the Grand Island and Hastings area.  Travel will still be hazardous.
