Lincoln Public Schools and Lincoln Parochial Schools are closed Friday. There were a couple of schools in surrounding areas with late starts.
Interstate–80 is open across the entire state. Many drivers who had to travel along it say they pulled over for the night.
Winds kicked up the light fluffy snow along I-80. That, and icy conditions caused some problems.
Thursday afternoon, a semi got turned onto its side near the Highway 77 interchange. Two people made it out with no injuries. Drivers say conditions aren't great, but traveling is possible.
