Lincoln woman dies from accident injuries

The accident happened Wednesday at 40th & Highway 2.

Lincoln police say 76-year-old Maurine Mumma died Sunday from a catastrophic brain injury. Police say last Wednesday, Mumma turned her car in front of a pickup. Her 16-year-old granddaughter was also injured in the accident and remains hospitalized. They were both wearing seatbelts.

The driver of the pickup had minor injuries. No citations were issued.
