One person dead in fiery crash on I-80

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (AP) _ The Nebraska State Patrol has confirmed that a collision involving a semitrailer on Interstate 80 in south-central Nebraska killed at least one person.

The fiery accident occurred around 8:30 a.m. Thursday between the Giltner interchange and Grand Island. Westbound traffic is being diverted at the interchange.

The patrol hasn't yet released the names of anyone involved or other details.
