Reports of an odor sent Lincoln Fire & Rescue and a Hazmat crew to 27th & Superior Tuesday morning.

Crews were called to a storage facility in the area at around 9 a.m.  Initial reports started coming in regarding a chemical odor at R & R Auto Salvage.  The building was evacuated and one lane of N. 27th Street was shut down.

"The nature of a couple of businesses here are to actually take apart cars and prepare them for salvage.  So with that being said, they were able to get in there and find that the odor was from solvents being stored on location,"  LFR Battalion Chief Eric Jones said.

The health department will remain on the scene to be sure all chemicals and processes are being done under code.
