A fugitive wanted for murder is locked up. He was arrested in Lincoln by the Metro Fugitive Task Force-Lincoln. The fugitive is 24-year-old John Harris. He's wanted for first degree murder in Illinois.
Officials said Harris is wanted in connection with a gang related drive-by shooting. The incident happened in St. Clair County, Illinois earlier in the year. At some point, Harris made his way to Nebraska.
The Metro Fugitive Task Force arrested Harris for first degree murder after U.S. Marshals in Illinois contacted the task force about Harris possibly being in the Lincoln area. Harris is in the Lancaster County Jail awaiting extradition proceedings to Illinois.
