Snow and cold temperatures over the past couple weeks have forced many of us to turn the heat up to high, and now, come the high gas utility bills.
Black Hills Energy said there's relief for those costly bills. The energy company offers payment plans for customers who qualify. Black Hills Business Operations Director, Don Nordell, encourages customers to call before the bill is due. "We can walk you through the qualification and enrollment process for our budget-friendly payment plans," Nordell said.
The state also offers help for residents having trouble paying off expensive utility bills. The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services manages the federally funded Low Income Energy Assistance program. An application for the program can be found at accessnebrask.ne.gov.
You can click on Black Hills Energy for information on payment-friendly options or you can call Black Hills Energy at 888-890-5554 to speak with Black Hills' customer service.
