Police investigate downtown car-pedestrian accident

Police say the woman was seriously injured while crossing the street.

The accident happened at 9:22 a.m.  Police say the woman, in her 60's, was crossing 11th street at O.  Police say that's when a mini-van turning the corner hit her. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital.  11th Street was shut down as police investigated the accident.

The driver and passenger of the mini-van and were not injured.  Police have not yet issued a ticket.  The incident is still under investigation.
