The Nebraska football team continued its 2013 spring practice season Wednesday afternoon, as the Huskers practiced in the Hawks Championship Center for just over two hours in full pads.

Nebraska Head Coach Bo Pelini addressed the media after practice, noting that he simply wants to keep seeing the team get better during spring practice.

"We have a lot of guys with a lot to learn, it is a process. It's one that doesn't happen overnight, it takes a lot of hard work." Pelini said, "I think we have a lot of young guys who kind of got hit with the realization of the type of hard work-- the type of attention to detail required to have success in this. I think that realization comes in a lot of different ways, but it affects guys, it allows them to keep growing, and I think that is what' happening with this team."

Pelini also talked about the success senior quarterback Taylor Martinez has had during the spring practice season.

"I think Taylor is very confident and he is playing at a very high level; his ball placement has been phenomenal. He threw couple interceptions in the first or second practice and I don't think he has thrown one since." Pelini said.

Junior running back Ameer Abdullah is "fine" according to Pelini, after suffering a minor injury at the beginning of spring practice. Pelini added, "He could probably practice now if we needed him to, but he's done as far as I am concerned this spring."

*Pelini mentioned that senior cornerback Ciante Evans was in a minor car crash, but is fine.

The Nebraska football team has four practices until its annual Red-White Spring Game on April 6. The scrimmage will be televised on the Big Ten Network at 2 p.m. (CT) Continue to check back to Huskers.com throughout the spring for all your spring football updates.
