A vigil was held outside the capitol on Saturday for Serena Garret, the 12-year-old girl who was found dead last March.
Monday marks the one year anniversary of Serena's death. The vigil was organized by her friends. They made posters, sang songs and lit candles.
"It's been weird since she's been gone," said Isabel Franklin, Serena's friend. "But everybody's taking it a day at a time."
Ashley Jackson was found guilty of contributing to Serena's death. She is currently in Lancaster County Jail awaiting her sentencing.
