Police say the guns were left in a car overnight.

The theft happened last Thursday night into Friday morning.  Police say the victim discovered the guns missing from his car the next morning.  It was parked near 84th and Adams.  Police say six handguns, one rifle, ammunition, and holsters were taken.

Police say there were no signs of force entry into the car.  By law, guns can't be left in cars for more than 24 hours. Police say the victim did not break any laws by leaving the guns in the car.
