A single engine plane headed from Tulsa to Manhattan, Kansas crashed Sunday night.
71-year-old Ronald Marshall, a retired doctor from Manhattan, was killed. Federal records show the plane was registered to Marshall out of DeWitt, Neb., where he owned land. Marshall's twin brother, Rod, lives in Beatrice. The crash also killed 40-year-old Chris Gruber, the Director of Development for K-State's College of Veterinary Medicine.
The plane slammed into a backyard in the Tulsa suburb of Collinsville. No word yet on what caused the crash. No one on the ground was injured or killed.
