Shad Chandler had pleaded guilty to first degree sexual assault on a child.
On Wednesday, the judge sentenced Chandler to 15-45 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl. He will be eligible for parole after 15 years.
Chandler is one of several men arrested in a child prostitution ring that involved a 14-year-old girl. The mother of the victim, an Upland woman, is now serving up to 80 years in prison for prostituting her daughters.
Chandler's sentencing was delayed nearly two weeks ago when he ate a tissue during the proceeding. The judge delayed the sentencing out of concern for Chandler's competency.
The 42-year-old will also have to register as a sex offender.
