The clock is ticking down. Those who want to donate to non–profits around the Lincoln area for *Give to Lincoln Day* have until 11:59 Thursday night to step up and donate.
The Lincoln Community Foundation is hosting "Give to Lincoln Day". They say 24 hours of giving opened up when the clock struck midnight. Already early Thursday morning, some are all ready writing checks to help out.
The chance to give is ticking away one second at a time. And there are 253 non–profits in the capital city hoping residents open their hearts and wallets to give to their favorite cause for "Give to Lincoln Day".
This is Matt Talbot's Kitchen and Outreach's second year participating. Last year the non–profit raised $11,000 during the 24 hour giving period.
Every penny raised goes toward the non–profit programs that serve Lincoln. Two-hundred thousand dollars of the money raised Thursday will be matched with the help of the Lincoln Community Foundation and other sponsors.
People who want to donate can go to the "Give to Lincoln Day" website at www.givetolincoln.razoo.com.
They have a list of every local non–profit group participating in the fundraiser. While your there you can choose one and donate.
The Lincoln Community Foundation is hoping to raise one–and–a–half million dollars Thursday.
Again, for those wanting to donate, you can stop by the Lincoln Community Foundation building or go to the Give to Lincoln Day" website at www.givetolincoln.razoo.com.
