Minatare woman crowned Miss Nebraska

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) _ A Minatare native will represent Nebraska in September's Miss America Pageant.

JaCee Pilkington was crowned the new Miss Nebraska on Saturday night in North Platte.      Pilkington competed as Miss Western Nebraska. She sang ``How Great Thou Art'' during the talent competition.

Pilkington won the Miss Nebraska Outstanding Teen Competition in 2009 and competed against 15 other contestants in the Miss Nebraska contest.

Rachel Foehlinger, of Omaha, was the first runner-up. She'd competed as Miss Lake McConaughy
