The third and final day of the PGA Junior Series supported by Genesis Networks event at ArborLinks continued to test the players with windy conditions and a tough golf course.

Thomas Johnson of Norman, Okla., the 36-hole leader, claimed the title in the boys' division. Johnson, fired a final-round 3-under-par 69 to finish the event with a 5-under-par 211 total.

"I feel like this week went really well," said Johnson. "I hit the ball pretty well and kept myself in it. I'm very excited about the Junior PGA Championship and I hope I keep my game up for the tournament."

Sean Song of Omaha, Neb., finished second, six-strokes back of Johnson.

Carson Schaake of Omaha, Neb., closed with a 69 to finish third at 219.

Audrey Judd of Olathe, Kan., claimed the girls' division title by two strokes, finishing with a 4-over-par 220 total.

"Today was not my best day, but I grinded," say Judd. "I'm very excited for the Junior PGA Championship and I hope my game can carry over into the tournament."

Sarah Jo Pravecek of Omaha, Neb., continued her strong play and finished in second place overall in the division.

Brooke Ferrell of Edgerton, Wis., finished third, four-strokes back of Judd.

This week, the overall boys' and girls' division winners received an exemption into the 38th Junior PGA Championship presented by Under Armor and Hotel Fitness at Trump National Golf Club, D.C. in Potomac Falls, Va. They also earned an exemption into the Callaway Golf Junior World Championship in La Jolla, Calif.

Gill Russell, PGA Assistant Professional at ArborLinks, and his staff were a crucial part to the success of this event.

"The tournament went well, despite a few curveballs with the weather," said Russell. "The golf course was setup well and helped the players score, but challenged them at the same time. The PGA Junior Series staff worked hard and put on a great tournament for the kids and we look forward to hosting them again."

With the commencement of another event, this week has further proven that this summer will produce exceptional golf from talented juniors.
