"It's fun to be out here because we have a lot of activities and we get to be with our family and it's nice outside and it's a lot of exercise," says Savannah Wvarra of Lincoln, who celebrated the fourth of July at Oak Lake Park with her family.
All the festivities kicked off at 3 p.m.
With plenty of family fun activities put on by the city recreation staff.
Everything from canoeing, bingo, bocce ball, kite flying, and face painting, Lincoln's IndependenceDday celebration isn't short of things to do.
It was also a great day for families to get together outside and enjoy the weather, which couldn't have been better.
