Three Lincoln men were the victims of a home invasion Tuesday afternoon. All three victims had their cell phones and wallets stolen, and one man is recovering from a head injury after being assaulted.
Police said three unknown males rushed into the home through an open garage door near 30th and Sumner streets. Two were armed with handguns, and the third had brass knuckles. Police then said that suspect hit a 22-year-old man in the back of the head before taking off with the victims' cell phones and wallets.
"It makes me scared," Shawn Barber, a victim's neighbor said. "I have a husband but it still makes me scared."
Police said the 22-year-old is recovering from his scalp injury. Barber said she had no idea what happened, but offered advice for others in the neighborhood.
"Try and be safe," Barber said. "Keep your doors locked and try and keep Mace on you at all times now."
Police say the investigation is ongoing. The suspects are still on the loose.
