A Lincoln teenager, fighting through her battle with pediatric brain cancer, has died.

dozens gathered outside of 16 year–old Maddie Brown's window at the Madonna Rehabilitation Center for a candlelight vigil, Friday night.

Brown died this morning.

Brown was known as a lively teenage girl, who loved to just shop and hang out with her friends, and was a student at Lincoln Southwest.

Hundreds flocked to a Facebook page made, "Maddie's Fight Is Our Fight Too," created by her family, to show their support, and share their favorite memories of brown.

Brown was diagnosed with the illness two years ago.

A fund under the name of "Maddie's Fight Is Our Fight Too" has been set up on gofundme.com.

You can also donate at any local Wells Fargo branch under "Maddie Brown's Fight Fund."
