Former Husker and NFL player Alfonzo Dennard was back in court Wednesday morning.
The New England Patriot was arraigned for violating probation. The hearing was originally scheduled for next week, but was moved up. The Lancaster County Attorney's office had filed a motion to revoke his probation after he was arrested for DUI earlier this month.
A judge set his preliminary hearing for August 27th. That's when Dennard could find out if he'll get more jail time. The 23–year–old was already on probation for assaulting a police officer last year.
If his probation is rejected, Dennard could get up to 5 years in jail. Training camp for the Patriots begins this Friday. Dennard is allowed to travel out of the state.
