Mayor Chris Beutler announced Thursday that Lincoln will receive nearly $6 million from the Nebraska Department of Roads over the next few years. The money will go towards improving more than 30 miles of highway in the city.

"We're working on them," Thomas Shafer of City Public Works and Utilities Department said. "We have multiple people working on these simultaneously, and just as they can get them done, we'll get them out as soon as we can."

Upcoming projects include portions of East O Street and West O to Sun Valley Blvd.
