A brawl involving dozens of people broke out in downtown Lincoln Friday night, resulting in a shot being fired.

Lincoln Police the fight involved 30 to 40 people and started around 1 a.m. Saturday near 9th and N streets at Fandango Night Club, next to El Charro Mexican Restaurant.  Police say it started when a man yelled racial slurs.  They say a fight broke out and spilled out onto the street.

Police say one shot was fired, but no one was hit.

Two people were sent to the hospital with minor injuries, including one bar security officer.

No arrests have been made, but police believe the incident may be gang related, and that many of those involved are from Omaha.

Police are still investigating the incident.
