The ribbon has been cut, and the doors are now open.
The $180 million and nearly 500,000 square foot project is in business, and it's going well.
With a long list of big names, officials say the arena is already making itself known for entertainment.
"This arena has a reputation in the business. We sold out Pink in less than ten minutes, we know that the Eagles are near capacity, we know that some of these shows have been second only to Madison Square Garden in terms of the sales," says Assistant General Manager, Charlie Schilling.
So what does that mean for ticket prices?
It all depends on the act.
But it's generally up to the artist.
So far, the nearly 16,000 seat facility has attracted everyone from Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
But that's not all. Not only is it home to Husker basketball, the Arena plans to host a variety of entertainment shows, including Cirque du Soleil.
For General Manager Tom Lorenz, big name concerts are just one part of the puzzle.
"It's something we've looked forward to for a long time, but our job is just beginning. And we're looking forward to the next many years of being here for basketball, concerts, and lots of other events."
