The area of NW48th and West O Street remains shut down after a pesticide spill at that intersection.

Lincoln Fire and Rescue were called out to NW 48th and West O Street for a hazardous materials spill at around 7:45 a.m.  Battalion Chief Eric Jones says there was a report of a 150 gallon tank that fell off the back of a semi spilling liquid onto the street.  Jones says when firefighters arrived there was no truck or tank, but 20-40 gallons of liquid on the ground.

Jones says testing revealed the liquid was a pesticide.  Clean up of the area is underway.
