American County Music Award Male Vocalist of the Year, Jason Aldean, was the second ever, headliner at Pinnacle Bank Arena, Thursday night.

It was a big draw for country fans.

With repeat chart toppers, Aldean is one of the biggest stars in country music.

He is the first of his genre to hit the Pinnacle Bank Arena stage.

"It's very electrifying tonight," says concert attendee, Gale Adams. "It will be an exciting night I mean you couldn't have a better person come to town."

Prior to the event, concert goers, some in cowboy boots and hats, hit up the businesses around Canopy and R Street, an area trademarked as, 'The Railyard.'

"I think it's just a great place for people to come to and hang out and I like all the open seats outside," says Aldean fan Jami Nauenburg.  "I think it's really cool that they got the stage outside, great sound system."

"I think it's really cool.  It's a lot better than I though it was going to be, I like it a lot," says concert-goer Alex Moody.

Anthony Inozodda adds, "It's beautiful out here.  Nice attraction."

In addition to the Aldean concert, there was an outdoor concert in the Railyard.

The west Haymarket area isn't quite complete; a lot of construction is still going on.

But it's an area that's bringing new life to the city of Lincoln.

The next concert at the arena is The Eagles on October 4th.
