It was a terrifying night for a convenience store employee when she was held at knifepoint. Lincoln police responded to the Shop EZ near 70th and Colfax streets around 10:30 Sunday night on a robbery call.
Police said a man went in the store and confronted a female employee with a knife. He ordered her to lay down in the back room behind the counter. Police said the employee could hear the man searching through the counter and cabinets. They said the suspect left with an undetermined amount of money. The woman was not injured. Authorities did attempt a canine track but found no one.
Police are looking for a black male, 5 feet 5 inches tall with a muscular build. He was wearing a black mask, black gloves, black and red jacket and black athletic pants. This is a similar suspect description to a couple of other robberies that happened earlier this month. Police are investigating to see if they're connected.
