An overnight burglary leads police on a high speed chase in north Lincoln.  Officials said it started at Victory Auto Parts near 14th and Cornhusker just before 3:30 Tuesday morning.

Officials said Victory Auto Parts had been burglarized a couple of times in the recent past.  A couple of employees decided to stay in the business overnight to see if they could catch the burglar.  Someone did show up and try to break into the backyard lot where parts are stored.  The employees confronted the suspect.   Police said after a fight, the suspect took off in a car.  Police later spotted the car and pursued it.  Shortly after, police found the vehicle near 56th and Havelock, where it had been abandoned.

Officials said they brought in the K9 unit to search for the suspect but bound on one.  Their investigation continues.
