(Lincoln, Neb.)- The Nebraska State Patrol says an early morning traffic stop for speeding led to the arrest of a Lincoln man for 5th offense Felony Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and Felony Driving Under Suspension (DUS).
The State Patrol says around 2:20 a.m. on Thursday, a trooper stopped a northbound 2007 Mercedes 550 for speeding on I-180 near Cornhusker Highway. They say the trooper could smell alcohol coming from the car. The driver, 28-year-old Thomas P. Manning, is accused of failing a field sobriety test, and refusing a preliminary breath test.
Manning, was arrested for 5th offense Felony DWI, Felony DUS, Speeding and no proof of ownership.
