Seward resident Haley Iness has cerebral palsy, but that didn't stop the 8–year–old from taking charge at the Lincoln Children's Museum, Monday.
In the morning, the executive director for a day, led a presentation about how she and Roscoe, her service dog, work together.
She also conducted a staff meeting, led a peer focus group and accepted a "big check" on behalf of the museum.
Haley's mother says the experience is very educational.
"This today, for her, has been very uplifting for her, to see that she can do anything if she really wants to," says mom, Jenny Iness.
Haley was among nearly two dozen kids who applied to be the museum's executive director as part of the first–time contest.
