Police investigating overnight assault

Police are investigating an assault from overnight.

It happened near N. 11th and Y Streets between 12 and 4 a.m.

Police said the victim was drunk and approached by four to six people. He was then hit on the head with an object, but police said due to his level of intoxication, he was unable to identify the suspects.

Police recovered his wallet nearby, with about 50 dollars in cash is missing.

The victim was taken to the hospital with lacerations and possible broken bones.
