Someone slammed their SUV into a home Thursday in Lincoln.

It happened around 6 p.m. near 48th and South.

Rescue officials say the vehicle went off the road at a high rate of speed before hitting the house.

The 25-year-old driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Neighbors are happy no one else was hurt.

"My kids could have been trick or treating an hour from now. I feel bad for the girl, but I'm glad it happened now because someone's family definitely could've been devastated by this type of accident," Michael Cooper, a neighbor and witness, said.

After the crash, neighbors came out to help the driver. Rescue officials aren't sure what caused her to lose control.
