A south Lincoln coin shop is the latest victim of an overnight burglary. Lincoln police said this business has been hit before. Police officials said officers responded to an alarm at The Coinery in the Piedmont Center near A and S. Cotner just after 1:00 a.m. on Monday.
Officials said a burglar shattered the front window and door. They said he got away with an unknown amount of merchandise after being in the store for less than a minute. "They have been hit prior and so we'll have to look into that and see if there any similarities," Sgt. Ben Miller said. Employees have yet to determine the amount and cost of the stolen property. Police have no suspects.
Police say surveillance video shows the suspect as: Police are looking for a white male, 20 to 25 years old, between 6'– 6'3", and weighs 175-190 lbs.
